20 miles

was aiming for 21-22 miles in my last long run pre taper but only managed 20!! Quite hot and ran out of water at about 14 miles!!  Legs were done in!!  Had to fight against stopping on a number of occasions.  Hopefully taper will give me my legs back, because struggling to think about where I get the extra 6.2 miles from in 3 weeks time!!

My only comfort is despite trying hard to run slow averaged 10:10 min/miles and last 3 were faster than my average!

Struggling in all senses!!

Keep forgetting to update my blog!!  Tuesday did 6 painful miles with hills and really struggled, Wednesday did 7 steady miles, which were ok but feeling heavy legged and sluggish this week.  Only had time for 4 miles fartlek on Thursday due to other commitments etc but felt ok!!

17 miles outside

Longest ever run outside.  17 miles in the pouring rain.  Felt good but struggled to go slow.  Averaged 9:58 but did some in 9:30, when aiming for 10.  Legs sore but 51 miles since Monday, so to be expected.

Thurs-7 mile run

7 mile run at steady pace before square2square meeting.   Felt good.

7 mile easy paced run

Did a 7 mile easy paced run in the sun! Feel like I can run for ever at 10 minute mile pace!!

Update

Did a great 7 mile fartlek session on Thursday, which I really enjoyed but then had unplanned 3 days of rest due to Liam's birthday festivities etc!!! 20 miles done Monday though at slow pace 10:30 min/mile-which went well.  Struggling to decide on pace for day, may depend on weather on day.

steady to fast 10 miler

Great 10 miler 9:24 for 1.5 miles to warm up then went through 9s to 8:30 then finished on 2x miles @8 and 0.5 miles @7:30!! Felt great!!
