SPEAKERS
Mike Johnston – Scottish National Endurance Coach and also Scottish Athletics Endurance Team Manager at the Commonwealth Games, will give a presentation on “How to Survive the Marathon”.
Ruth McKean – leading Sports Nutritionist, Athlete and consultant to the Scottish institute of sport will offer advice on diet and nutrition in training and on race day itself.
Alex Bailey – Technical advisor with Asics footwear, will give a short presentation on the importance of the right footwear for marathon training.
QUESTION TIME
Mike Johnston and Ruth Mckean, will also be joined by Hayley Haining, international marathon runner, and Alistair Currie, Chief of Jog Scotland and former international athlete, for an open question and answer session.
